it’s a bit upsetting to hear how the cadavers are kept. to be honest.. 5 floating in a tank with skin peeling and falling off?

when i took a humanbio course where we had to handle a plasticised brain. we were constantly reminded to be respectful and handle the brains with care as those brains were kindly donated by ppl.

then again.. i suppose this is science. and you have to explore and play around i suppose.

actually, spraying perfume on the surgical mask will help keep the smell away. (that’s what my friend did in ireland)

no way am i gonna do med. ugh. dissecting animals was bad enough. the TRAUMA! the SMELL! the GROSS FACTOR!

even eating fried worms and grasshoppers in bangkok wasn’t as bad…

when i first dissected frogs, cockroaches and rats, i kept telling myself, all this for the sake of saving more people in the future. and i don’t get freaked out anymore. It might not work well with cadavers but I’d just have to remind myself that after this, i get to save more and more people.
